My name is Venissa Timbreza. I am a theatre major at msjc and I am a huge fan of online classes. I have a busy schedule that is loaded by my three sons. Ryan is 5 and plays soccer, t-ball, and hip hop. Riley is three and does combo tap and ballet. Troy is three weeks old and just wants to be held and eat. I also happen to be team mom for most of their activies. I am currently on maternity leave, but I am supposed to return to work in October. I work graveyard full time as a blackjack dealer. Right now I am scheming at something to work from home. I am not sure I can handle going back to work.
This is my very first blog, but I can see why they are so popular. I use facebook often, to keep updated on friends and family. I also dance hula with a school in Riverside. It is mostly for fun, but we do parties and charity work as well.
I have worked backwards in the case of my education. My first college experience ended ugly, when I sold my books for head shots in Los Angeles. I did a lot of extra work and some independent films. At 21 years old I got married and had my first son. The passion for theatre and acting remained and I came back to Rcc to take more theatre classes. I soon got pregnant with my second son, yet I returned to MSJC. This time was different. I really wanted a degree, not just acting classes. I have been working one or two classes at a time to maintain that goal. This semester is all general education courses. I am almost there, and then I can transfer to a four year. Many people ask me what I am going to do with a theatre degree. At this point I am not quite sure what career path I will achieve. I do know that a life that is lived passionately is much sweeter than one that is just survived.
